Horsley Lodge, Horsley, Derbyshire, June 2023
What a lovely, personal and intimate wedding for John & Angie, celebrating their special day with close family and friends at the stunning Horsley Lodge.
I met with Angie in the Salt Cottage within the grounds of Horsley Lodge, where I was also greeted by Natalie one of her daughters, and Katie her granddaughter, who were both on hand to get Angie ready for her big day. No nerves appeared to be on show and a bottle of Prosecco was in its final stages!!
After a few shots of Angie getting ready, including her details for the day, I had a walk around the venue before meeting with John, who was punctual for his big day. Their family and friends then started to arrive to share their day and some final touches were made prior to Angie meeting John for their ceremony.
John was standing proud waiting for Angie’s arrival and Katie, their flower girl, had the important job of spreading flowers along the aisle for Angie. A intimate ceremony then followed.
After the ceremony, a golf buggy was on hand for the newly weds to tour the grounds of the venue. Some memorable group photographs where captured on a stone bridge by the lake, complimented by the sound of fountain in the background and with stunning views looking back up to the venue.
Their wedding breakfast followed and John took the opportunity to proudly tell the room about his new wife Angie. The rest of the evening was spent with their friends and family exchanging stories from years gone by whilst they enjoyed their evening buffet and drinks.
What a lovely couple you make, and I wish you both all the very best for the future.
Tom
